Your Legal Eyes Completes first year in business
Today 4th of October 2013, it will be 12 months since YourLegalEyes set about helping organisations contribute to and affect the legislative processes in Wales. As a French woman living in Wales, I admire the processes established by devolution that means it is possible to influence devolved legislation in the Principality. We can all have a say in the way Wales is legislated and I encourage everyone to engage in the process.
At YourLegalEyes, it’s our job to give both individuals and organisations confidential, non-political and non-judgemental advice on how they can make change. Whether help is needed with understanding legislation, promoting legislative amendments, influencing White or Green Papers, providing written and oral evidence or getting procedural advice, we can offer support.
Giving evidence, particularly orally, can be intimidating and at YourLegalEyes we have been able to provide training that gives individuals the tools to deliver successfully and with confidence.
In our first year of business we have trained nearly 150 people, provided consultancy and training services for 30 organisations.

We’ve had great feedback from our clients, some of who were a bit nervous about getting involved in the new process of influencing Bills. We have also taken on board client comments and developed our services to include one to one coaching and social media training.
The first year has flown by and 2014 looks set to be just as busy with new legislation planned for:
As we celebrate our first anniversary, we can see our clients grow in confidence, efficiently entering the legislative process and affecting change. We look forward to our second year.
Thank you to everyone who supported YourLegalEyes in our first year and good luck influencing the legislation and policy that is important to you.
